If you are here doing research on Quaker Parrots because you are thinking of adding one to the family you are off to a great start. Quaker Parrots will become part of the family with their life spans reaching 30 years. Plus they will actually think they are one of the family. Definately buy some reference books before the Quaker so you know what to expect and how to prepare for the new member of the household. The African Grey Congo can even live alot longer the one is these pictures was hatched in 1996 with many years to go.

Please help My bird Mojo has grown his wings lately I take him for walks so he can get exercize yesturday at about 6pm I was putting him down when he flew ACROSS OUR DAM and out of site thats, like REALLY FAR!!! I dont know where he's gone we live in the middle of the bush its been rainy and windy ALL NIGHT and its now 8:30am and still raining could he be dead? Are there any victorian/australian sites where I can post an add for a missing cockatiel? I'm going to call the neighbors and I have posters and flyers ready to go I was bonding with him! I was so close to him!!!! I feel so stupid! He had a budgie friend... should i put the budgie in a small cage and put him outside to attract Mojo? I've looked for 3 hours in pouring rain and havent heard a peep!!!!! I'm so sad he could be anywhere!!!!! Open Question: Aloe vera juice or aloe vera gel for plucking bird? Okay so I am going to try to use aloe vera mixed with warm water in a spraying bottle to try and ease my bird's plucking habit. i know for a fact he plucks because his skin is often very dry even after he has had a bath. I keep hearing about people using aloe vera JUICE but i can't seen to find it in my health food store at all! The only thing I find is pure aloe vera GEL, and I read on another person's blog who actually used aloe vera gel and warm water on her plucking parrot. I was wondering if it's okay for me to do that for my parrot. Also I notice for the spray bottle I must use warm water but does that mean each time i'm done spraying my bird i have to dump all of it out? Or else the water will be cold by the next time I use it... Another thing is can someone please tell me the proper way to spray a bird? Should I spray in a specific area where he's plucking or what? When I say to use aloe vera gel I mean to actually put it in the spraying bottle with the warm water like with aloe vera juice and warm water. So I'm going to add a aviary to my house as oppose to all the cages I have now I'm very happy about it!!! Soooooooo I'm looking for nice quality breeding cage fronts made of any safe material for budgies with nothing toxic in it. I am trying to find one and I've looked everywhere. I can't find a nice cage front for my budgies in the USA if I find one it's always in the U.K and I don't really feel like dealing with the shipping fee there!!! But even if I do that there are only two places I find that makes the nice cage fronts. Wades cage fronts and Thomas something but neither of these seem just right for me. Does anyone find any cage fronts for sale or that I can hire someone to make that are both safe for my birds and in the U.S.A but if you can only find them elsewhere I will pay the shipping thanks :) 20 hours ago I'm sorry I didn't ask your opinion on breeding as a pose to adopting I want to breed small scale and keep the babys so I'm not making a difference except that I'm actually also saving budgies from people who don't know how to take care of them as that is where I get the budgies to breed I'm sorry I didn't ask your opinion on breeding as a pose to adopting I want to breed small scale and keep the babys so I'm not making a difference except that I'm actually also saving budgies from people who don't know how to take care of them as that is where I get the budgies to breed Open Question: I have 4 pet goats, one of them broke his horn, and it is disc... My bird hisses and bites me every time i put my hand in the cage but will be hand fed through the bars what do i do ??? Open Question: Parrot Acting Really Weird? My parrot is acting really weird just an hour or two ago he was walking around and doing his usual screaming and fly around. For some reason he sat on top of his cage and has his beak slightly open. I can hear his breathing and he looks around at every sound, like when hes scared. I tried to snap it out of him thought but he didn't even react to my offer of a cracker. When i played some music on my phone, (which he usually really likes, he sings and dances to it) it caused him to take off at full speed and and crash in to the window. Then he flew to the floor and keep trying to flap his wings even though he wasn't flying, even to the point of getting stuck in a chair. I picked him up and he clenched his feet around my finger and when I put him back on his cage his feet where still clenched. He then shot up suddenly again and flew at the cage at the window again. He is well used to flying around my house. He is almost never in his cage. Maybe he's scared of the hurricane that's supposed to be coming. Open Question: Why are Black Eagle chicks white?
